Ted Cruz ‘Invasion’ TV Ad May Be the Best One Ever

The two hardest things to pull off in political television ads are to invoke true passions and to make people chuckle. If you can do either, your ad is a success. If you shoot for either and fail, the ad can do more harm than good.

Ted Cruz has one of the most risky and ingenious Presidential campaign ads of all time with his “Invasion” video. I would love to comment on many of the 60 seconds that it runs and point out how every nuance, ever word taken from responses he made during debates, is perfect. It goes all the way down to a brief but powerful moment close to the end when the Marco Rubio is standing there looking concerned about the points that Cruz was scoring with his words.

Rather than a play-by-play, I’ll just leave the video here and let you decide. Does it work for you? It definitely worked on many. Message. Delivery. Promise. This is how all political campaign ads should resonate.
