US drone strike kills top al-Qaeda leader in Yemen

Nasr al-Ansi, the man who claimed responsibility for al-Qaeda for the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris, was killed with his oldest son and several alleged militants on or around April 21, 2015. The death was confirmed in an announcement by al-Qaeda operative Khaled Batarfi, who only acknowledged that it the militants were killed in Yemen by a US drone strike.
