There are two methodologies that work in the world of marketing when it comes to spreading a particular message. On one hand, you have a consolidation of focus. Put all of your efforts into a single project and make it as strong as possible. On the other hand, you have the idea of divide and conquer. Work as many angles as possible without diluting the potency of the individual parts.
We have decided to go with the second option. There are pros and cons to each. The benefit of adding another site to the family is that it has the ability to focus on a single concept. On Christian Social Media, we will be able to strictly promote the Word of God without getting too deep into commentary. Judeo Christian Church is a nice mix of multiple formats – videos, commentaries, and visualizations of Bible verses. The new project will be almost entirely the last component. It will draw visual Bible verses from this site as well as finding them across multiple sources including Tumblr, Pinterest, WeHeartIt, and general Christian websites.
The other benefit is in collaboration. Since it’s built on the Tumblr platform, it’s possible for users to submit their own content for inclusion on the site. It’s a social site, so sharing is much easier across the Tumblr community than with this site which is built on WordPress. This site relies on Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and Facebook to get shared. Tumblr can be shared on all of those but also has a robust internal community that WordPress does not have.
We are excited to start this new concept and we pray that it can be used to do the Will of God.
