Middle East Pushing Christianity Out

Christianity in the Middle East


Three of the world’s major religions were born in the Middle East. One of them is isolated to Israel. One of them is prominent throughout the Middle East. The third, Christianity, is being pushed out rapidly by one of the other two.


It’s hard to be a Christian in the Middle East. Depending on the country, it can be a life filled with the harshest possible persecutions. We should pray for them to remain strong, but as the Bible tells, those who die under persecution for their faith and remain strong in their belief in Jesus Christ unto the end will receive their reward.


A recent study examines the challenges happening to Christians in the Middle East and shows how they are being pushed out just as more are coming to believe in our Messiah.



Respected UK historian Tom Holland told a briefing in London this week that the world is watching the effective extinction of Christianity from its birthplace.


In an apocalyptic appraisal of the worsening political situation in the region, a panel of experts provided a mass of evidence and statistics for the end of the region’s nation states under the onslaught of militant Islam.
