School Must Pay Those Offended by Image of Jesus

ACLU

Since 1947, an image of Jesus Christ has hung at either Jackson High School in Ohio or the associated middle school. It belonged to the Hi-Y club, a student group with a Christian calling.

Unfortunately, today’s society of “tolerance” and “acceptance” only applies when Christianity isn’t involved. The picture has been removed and the school must pay a large sum of money to those who had their feelings hurt by it. The ACLU is not the problem here. They wouldn’t have jobs if it weren’t for the people who hire them.

Here’s the story on the Columbus Dispatch:

A southern Ohio school district has agreed to keep a portrait of Jesus off district property and pay $95,000 to settle a lawsuit filed earlier this year by the state chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and a Wisconsin foundation.
