The NY Times is Descending to Hit Pieces Against Marco Rubio

There will be attacks from the left and attacks from the right. That’s today’s political structure and it’s not very different from the way things were a century ago. The tactics are the same but the information available to the general population is increased which is why many media outlets have turned towards spin and trumpeting to make issues out of nothing.

You expect it from most publications, but it’s a surprise that the latest round of attacks against Marco Rubio are coming from the New York Times pertaining to traffic tickets.

First and foremost, they’re traffic tickets. That’s not an indication of someone’s ability to lead. What’s more disappointing is that it’s touted as 17 tickets between him and his wife. That’s the story. One line is given to clarify that only four of the 17 were his. The other 13 were given to his wife.

We totally understand the need to spread the word about problems that candidates have. Anyone who thinks that journalism at any level is unbiased hasn’t been watching the news. However, there are much bigger issues to face than traffic tickets and it’s a shame that the NY Times is the latest culprit of meaningless attacks.
