Rand Paul goes after President Obama to release 9/11 files that may implicate Saudi Arabia

Since investigation into the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, there has been speculation that Saudi Arabia was involved, at least from a financial perspective, in perpetrating the attacks. President George W. Bush classified 28 pages of a Congressional report on the incident that allegedly implicates the Saudis. Now, Rand Paul is picking up the mantle to have those pages released.

15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. That alone is not enough to accuse an entire country of involvement, but the contents of the pages in the classified portion of the report may shed further light on the subject. Many families of the victims are joined by Paul, other politicians, and even former politicians who have been seeking the truth since the documents were classified in 2002.

The Telegraph reports:

Mr Paul, who been vocal in attacking the bulk NSA spying programmes revealed by the rogue security contractor Edward Snowden and is running for president in 2016, has now promised to file an amendment to a Senate bill that would call on Mr Obama to declassify the pages.
