How to Make a Globe Out of a Map and a Marble

A marble in front of a map

It’s really pretty easy, actually. It’s all about the refraction of light through the curved glass of a clear marble. When you find the right angle, the right focus, and have a very steady hand, you can make a really cool image like this one.

Of course, you could always just go buy a globe. This one wouldn’t be as useful other than bringing out a cool shot.
