Isaiah 55:8 – my thoughts are not your thoughts

Isaiah 55:8 (KJV)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

Just as heaven is a higher place than the earth, so too are God’s words and God’s ways higher than ours. It is impossible for us to fathom the depths of God’s ways, His thoughts. It goes well beyond our ability to comprehend. This is important today as so many people try to bring a morality to disbelief saying that they would not believe in a God that did “this” or follow a Lord that did “that” but for us to even attempt to comprehend the ways of the Lord is exponentially more difficult than an infant trying to understand the characters on the side of a bottle of rat poison. To the infant, it might taste good and be something that their senses tell them to try, but only when they get older could the be instructed on why it’s not something they should ingest.

His ways and words are too far above our feeble minds to comprehend.
