Venezuela supermarkets are under attack

The economic collapse of Venezuela is bleeding over to their food stations, namely the grocery stores and supermarkets that hold the food. Riots, looting, and violence are reigning as the OPEC nation fights for its very existence.

Just to get standards such as soap or flour can take hours of waiting in line for citizens. With tensions so high, it’s clear that the country needs major help just to survive until next year. According to Yahoo:

Fifty-six incidents of looting and 76 looting attempts took place in the first half of 2015, according local NGO Venezuelan Observatory of Social Conflict, which based the figures on media reports and testimony of observers around the country.
