After spying report, US trying to patch things up with Japan

The United States is spying on leaders in Japan. That was the news from the latest Wikileak report. Now, Vice President Joe Biden is trying to patch things up with his long-time friend and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, reassuring the country that the spying is only for domestic security.

Japan may not be buying it.

According to the Associated Press:

The leaked documents include what appear to be five U.S. National Security Agency reports, four of which are marked top-secret, that provide intelligence on Japanese positions on international trade and climate change. They date from 2007 to 2009.
